Computer science is the study of processes that interact with data that can be represented as data in the form of programs. It enables the use of algorithms to manipulate, store, and communicate digital information. A computer scientist studies the theory of computation and the design of software systems.
It can also be seen as the study of both computer hardware and software design. It encompasses both the study of theoretical algorithms and the practical problems involved in implementing them through computer hardware and software. The study of computer science has many branches, including artificial intelligence, software engineering, programming and computer graphics. The need for computer science as a discipline has grown as computers become more integrated into our day-to-day lives and technology continues to advance.
Computer science is a very large Course with lots of applications. Computer scientists design new software, solve computing problems and develop different ways to use technology.
But, whatever they’re doing, all computer scientists rely on ‘computational thinking’.
What is computational thinking?
Computational thinking involves looking at a problem and working out a way a computer might be able to help you solve it. To do this, you need to understand how a computer processes information.
You probably use computational thinking at school too, but don’t realise it. If you analyse a problem and plan out the solutions, you are using computational thinking.

Artificial intelligence (AI), Is the ability of a digital computer or computer-controlled robot to perform tasks commonly associated with intelligent beings. The term is frequently applied to the project of developing systems endowed with the intellectual processes characteristic of humans, such as the ability to reason, discover meaning, generalize, or learn from past experience.
What is cyber security
: Cyber security or information technology security can be defined as the techniques of protecting computers, networks, programs and data from unauthorized access or attacks that are aimed for exploitation.
It also refers to the body of technologies, processes, and practices designed to protect networks, devices, programs, and data from attack, damage, or unauthorized access. Cyber security may also be referred to as information technology security .It is very important because it enhances the safety of data and information.
What is the meaning of application development
|Definition: Application development, also referred to as software process, software lifecycle and software development, is the development of a software product in a planned and structured process.|
|Application development involves creating a computer program, or set of programs to perform tasks, from keeping track of inventory and billing customers, to maintaining accounts, speeding up business process and, in fact, even improving application effectiveness. Unlike vanilla programming, application development involves higher levels of responsibility (particularly for requirement capturing and testing).|
What Are Computer Graphics?
Computer graphics are visual representations of data displayed on a monitor made on a computer . Computer graphics can be a series of images (most often called video) or a single image. Computer graphics are very useful. Computer generated imagery is used for movie making, video game and computer programmes development, scientific modelling, and design for advertising and other commercial art. Some people even make computer graphics as art.
System programming involves designing and writing computer programs that allow the computer hardware to interface with the programmer and the user, leading to the effective execution of application software on the computer system. Typical system programs include the operating system and firmware, programming tools such as compilers, assemblers, I/O routines, interpreters, scheduler, loaders and linkers as well as the runtime libraries of the computer programming languages.
Data science is the field of study that combines domain expertise, programming skills, and knowledge of mathematics and statistics to extract meaningful insights from data. Data science practitioners apply machine learning algorithms to numbers, text, images, video, audio, and more to produce artificial intelligence (AI) systems to perform tasks that ordinarily require human intelligence. In turn, these systems generate insights which analysts and business users can translate into tangible business value.
